not really you could drive to one of the blue lines stop park and ride (willow, wardlowor artiesa station then take the blue line into los angeles or you could look into getting a EZ pass (which is good on Both Long beach and metro lines) and LBT has direct connects either via Passport A and D and Line 131 to the Wardlow station

Whoa, it would be such a long drive between Belmont and Downtown Long Beach. You would be using so much gas to drive back and forth. However, I recommend you use the L.A. metro system on the Blue Line. It takes about 50 minutes (not 2 hours like the other person said. i mean, why would they make a metro train that would take 2 hours to meet your destination?!) to from the Long Beach Transit Mall in downtown to Downtown LA and would only cost $5 for a metro pass. However, it would be pretty awkward if you wore a business suit on a Blue Line. If you choose not to go on metro, I think it would be perfectly fine if you go by car since its quicker than metro.

It's about 25 miles and will probably take you at least an hour in traffic, if not longer.

Welllll...possibly. Driving back and forth everyday would get to be a grind and expensive because of gas and if you have to pay for parking downtown. Public transportation, i.e., taking the bus from Belmont Shore to the Metro Blue Line would also get to be a drag. I've taken the Blue Line from the Carson Station to downtown LA and it took 2 hours each way. Since you would be starting further away the trip would be almost 2.5 hours each way for you. The economy is bad right now and finding any work is a miracle. Weigh your options and compare what you will be making to the time and money spent getting to and from work. You don't want to just break even. Good luck to you!

No I have friends who live in Belmont Shores and work in Downtown LA. She takes the LA Metro train into work and it puts her basically at her work doorstep. Try this website: www.metro.net

Walmart, Target, K-Mart, Big Lots, Goodwill, Corner Store (that may be a bootleg though)

well this may be far fetched, as I do not live in California, but- If you have a Trader Joe's Supermarket out there (I know they are based out of California so maybe you have one there) Anyway- They have cute, mini, REAL christmas trees that are adorable and smell nice too- perfect for a desk.

Start downtown on Pine Avenue and the Pike. There are several good ones there. Also in Belmont Shore. There are lots in those areas within walking distance. You could also check Craigslist.com
2 :
Mai Tai, Bubba Gump's, BJ's Brewery, Sky Room, PF Chang's
3 :
try Clearmans in Belmont Shore, and any Hoff's Hut especially the one in Belmont Shore

amazon.com is a good source for tabletop trees.
2 :
Over here in U.K Asda sells good mini Christmas Trees, I think Asda is Walmart in America. Try there. Or any shop which sells decorations should sell small Christmas trees that would be fine for sitting on a desk.
3 :
Michaels, CVS, Hallmark, Rite-Aid, Wal-Mart, Target, etc, etc...
