Does anybody here work in the DMV near Long Beach?
I got married so I changed my name. Well my husband is from another country and there he has to have his father's last name then his mother's, but here he only uses one (his dad's lastname). But in our marriage certificate they had to put both of his lastnames. Now when I went to change my name I have to use both of his last names also. They dont understand the meaning of both of his lastnames, this doesnt make me his wife, but his sister since I have both of his dad's & mother's last name. Im suppouse to have his then mine... What can I do??? I did change it in the DMV first and they did not have a problem with that. They gave me the first last name of my husband. I showed my social security card to the DMV but all they said was I was going to need to change that also.

No body willing to admit they work for the DMV

I don't work for the DMV but I live in Long Beach and just got married. You have to get your social security card changed first. When you do this, they let you choose how your name will appear. This should solve your problem. Edit: Hmm...strange! Maybe try another DMV? I never to go Long Beach, I always go to Westminster.

About I am relocating for work from NYC. Where should I live in Orange County? What about Long Beach, CA
I am relocating for work from NYC. Where should I live in Orange County? What about Long Beach, CA?
My new job is in Irvine so anything in OC is good. I am tempted to live in Long Beach because its more of a city though - even though its LA County. Thoughts?

Long Beach is not in Orange County.

Long Beach is not in Orange County and I highly recommend you live near your work because the traffic is TERRIBLE.

Orange County is plenty 'city' and it has massive amounts of traffic to prove it. Like the others have said Long Beach is a bit of a drive from Irvine and unless you like sitting in traffic 1.5 hour each way than move close to work.

how can you work out an long distance relationship?
i live in long beach, California and my girlfriend just moved a few weeks ago. She moved to Tennessee(city still unknown) and we said that we can talk to each other. what is a possible way to have better communication with each other using the web and other sources??? plz help me im confused in many ways

Instant messaging is a given I use Yahoo and sometimes Skype with skype you can also go free calling and webcam and both run very smoothly (moreso then yahoo) Also, calling is another way to keep in touch. Emailing pictures, videos, things to help the other feel like they are part of your life. But the important thing is t ALWAYS communicate, talk about whats up, whats bothering you and whatnot. one other thing Text messageing any other questions feel free to IM me =)
