Where should I live around long beach?
Hi, My husband has new job in Long beach and I work in San Dimas. We are planning to find a place in-between/around either of this places. We are ready to drive 30-40 miles. We would be renting apartment. Any suggestions?

Not a good idea near the coast just because we live in an active pacific region where earthquake activity is always a threat.

Are you trying to find somewhere in the middle? maybe fullerton, brea anaheim would be ideal then

if u are looking for a place with Indian food/amenities, you can consider Palms/Culver City if u want to move central to LA. Or else if u want to keep the commute shorter or bypass workday 405 traffic, then choose Hawthorne or Artesia/Lakewood. Nearer LA will be more expensive to rent. I wud expect more than San Dimas. *sorry i meant Hawthorne blvd in Torrance (above); not Hawthorne City which is a bit further north.

I would look into Brea, La Habra, La Mirada, Whittier, or Fullerton. Those are nice places in the middle.

Long Beach has some great neighborhoods to live in. the good areas are in the south and south/west portions of the city. these include(naples, park estates, belmont shore/heights, los altos. Other cities you should consider are neighborhing los alamitos and cypress( orange county). Both very safe

I am looking for an office oreinted job. I am qualified to do receptionist and data entry type work.
